Capsule's account-export guide produces a ZIP containing contacts, opportunities and projects as CSVs, with notes and email history in the final columns. Attachments are excluded and require separate downloads; the emailed export link expires after twelve hours. The page's role wording is not entirely consistent, so confirm export rights with the administrator rather than assuming every user can obtain the account archive.
Pipedrive's spreadsheet-import guide accepts one-tab XLS/XLSX/CSV files below 50 MB and up to 200,000 rows. Related items on the same row can be linked and notes are supported; that is not proof that Capsule's history columns automatically become native email conversations or that attachments transfer. Inspect mapping and the skip file. Global administrators can revert an import within the documented forty-eight-hour window, which is not a substitute for a source backup.
For the reverse move or a later exit, Pipedrive's export guide separates activities, notes and files, limits the export to records the user can see, and leaves generated exports available for twenty-eight days. That does not transfer access controls into a spreadsheet or the destination CRM. File metadata or a download link is not an independent copy; Google Drive files are excluded from the described file export, and downloads need the relevant administrator access. The guide does not establish a complete email-body archive.
Before cutover, verify an authorized sample containing two contacts at one company, several opportunities, a restricted record, a task, a note, an email and a PDF. Reconcile identifiers, relationships, dates, ownership and independently retrievable files. Pause duplicate workflows and preserve marketing opt-outs; importing a contact is not fresh permission to send campaigns. Keep the source until the destination passes those checks. No lossless customer migration was performed or promised in this comparison.
